Day 6 – Oh My Darling.

Who doesn’t love this wonderful fruit!?! It is easy to peal, so much easier than a normal orange and they are mighty tasty. So my day number  6 goes out to … Oh My Darling Clementine.

Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 … Just a little behind!

Well, I know I am three days behind, but I think the wait will be worth it. I hope.

Day 3: Hot coffee! In a Christmas cup .. of course!

Day 4: New clothes. Spring colors! Alleluia! oops… did I really say the “a” word during….. LENT!?!?

Day 5: My Favorite! With the temperature finally many degrees away from below zero, I was very excited to wear shoes with out socks!

Remember its the little things that bring the most joy!

Day One - My Bible

Well, today is Ash Wednesday, the day as Christians we begin our Lenten journey of self-sacrifice. Today also marks the my journey of thankfulness. Nothing better than to start with my Faith. I am very thankful to have my faith for I would not be who I am, doing the things I love, if I was lacking it.

Fat Tuesday.

As my Lenten journey will begin tomorrow with Ash Wednesday, I am going to attempt something new. As we receive on Easter Sunday new dawn, new spring time, and new life.

So here it goes… each day during Lent I will post a picture of things I am thankful for. I am hoping it will help me to realize my life is not as bad as it seems, and that I have lots of things right here, right now that bring me happiness.

I invite you along on this journey. Will you join me?

“There are Christians whose lives seem like Lent without Easter. I realize of course that joy is not expressed the same way at all times in life, especially at moments of great difficulty. Joy adapts and changes, but it always endures, even as a flicker of light born of our personal certainty that, when everything is said and done, we are infinitely loved.” Pope Francis
