Day 8 - Sunrises.

This morning I got a text from my mom, “Look at the sunrise”. So I immediately jumped out of bed and ran to the window to look. The photo gives not justice, but isn’t it beautiful?
Remember its the simple things that make us happy, that bring us the most joy, if we but take the time to enjoy them.

Day 6 – Oh My Darling.

Who doesn’t love this wonderful fruit!?! It is easy to peal, so much easier than a normal orange and they are mighty tasty. So my day number  6 goes out to … Oh My Darling Clementine.

Day 3, Day 4 and Day 5 … Just a little behind!

Well, I know I am three days behind, but I think the wait will be worth it. I hope.

Day 3: Hot coffee! In a Christmas cup .. of course!

Day 4: New clothes. Spring colors! Alleluia! oops… did I really say the “a” word during….. LENT!?!?

Day 5: My Favorite! With the temperature finally many degrees away from below zero, I was very excited to wear shoes with out socks!

Remember its the little things that bring the most joy!

Day Two – Wide Open Spaces

There is just something about being outside. When I refer to outside I mean, wide open spaces, with no one around, no sounds. Nothing. Have you ever had the opportunity to experience that? I sure hope so!

After having a … well… blah. kind of day, my mom encouraged me to get outside and breath in the fresh air. So that is exactly what I did, until I slid on a patch of snow and my foot landed in an ice cold water puddle.

But before that happened I managed to take a picture of my thankfulness number two…..

“Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return.”

Day One - My Bible

Well, today is Ash Wednesday, the day as Christians we begin our Lenten journey of self-sacrifice. Today also marks the my journey of thankfulness. Nothing better than to start with my Faith. I am very thankful to have my faith for I would not be who I am, doing the things I love, if I was lacking it.
